Our family vacation at the Chateau was a unique experience, perfect for those seeking a cozy atmosphere that feels more like home than a typical hotel. Upon arrival, we were greeted by Phillipe de Bouglon and his wife Beatrice, who made us feel instantly welcomed. Their warmth truly set the tone for our stay. We especially enjoyed exploring the extensive gardens where our kids could run freely, and we even ventured out for some cycling and hiking. The countryside offered lovely trails that were manageable for our family, making it a great way to bond and enjoy the beautiful scenery together. One of the highlights of our stay was the delightful home-cooked, four-course dinner showcasing local flavors, including confit de canard. The evening was wrapped up with a tasting of Phillipe’s own produced Armagnac, which was a lovely treat for the adults. While the property has all the charm of a rustic castle, some amenities could be further developed to enhance the family experience. It was a refreshing discovery, and we would consider returning for another peaceful getaway.
